[Track Of The Day: Polarsets “Sunshine Eyes”]
We simply cannot get enough of these. Newcastle’s most triumphant threesome Polarsets are stepping things up a notch or five by announcing what will be their debut single release on the oh-so-chic Kitsune label on 18th April, which is a wee ditty called Diamond Eyes. Now, what you’ve got here is all the right ingredients for a classic pop-rock number: latin beats, interesting use of a cowbell, euphoric dance-electro, which overall gives a Rhianna “Only Girl In The World” musical vibe getting down and dirty with the indie sensibility of Two Door Cinema Club. Given that their current repertoire includes the damn-straight anthemic Leave Argentina and the daydreamy–fairground essence of Just Don’t Open Your Eyes Yet, this is almost certainly set to be a valuable asset to the band’s already-enviable musical arsenal. Oh, and they’ve got a tour-de-The North coming up over the next couple of months, so you’ll be able to enjoy this in a live setting, where these guys really come into their own. Clamp your earlobes to the new track below and be prepared to lose your shit.
